Itziar Leemans

She has born in San Juan de Luz (France) in 1983. She studied History and Art History at the University of Toulouse le Mirail (France) and Cinematography at the International School of Film and TV, San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. Her work as a cinematographer includes the shorts EL CASTILLO (Cuba, 2011), AWARIY (Cuba, 2012), TROPICO SIBERIA (Cuba, 2011) and MEDUSA (Cuba, 2012). She co-directed the documentary feature LENIN PARK (2014) with Carlos Mignon, international premiere at the Festival Visions Du Réel 2015 and selected at the FIC Morelia and FICUNAM.

Carlos Mignon

Carlos Mignon was born in Mexico City 1981. He studied Social Communication (Universidad Autónoma de México), Photography (Escuela Activa de Fotografía) and Film Directing (International School of Film and TV, San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba). In 2004 he received the IMJUVE (Young Talents) scholarship to edit EFE (web magazine specializing in visual studies). In 2007 he obtained the Young Artists Scholarship granted by FONCA, as a result of the project 'Videosimulacros' exhibited in various galleries in Mexico and Spain. His work includes the short films: MEDUSA (Fiction, Cuba, 2012) and THE INTRUDERS (Documentary, Cuba, 2011). His most recent work is the documentary feature film LENIN PARK (2014), co-directed with Itziar Leemans. It had the international premiere at the Festival Visions Du Réel 2015, and was selected at the FIC Morelia and FICUNAM.
